Sarj Hada

Sarj was born and raised in Kathmandu, Nepal, then moving to Sydney, Australia, when he was 19 years and resided there for 10 years.

In this time he did a lot of studies, work and play. After making the move to New Zealand in 2013 a lot has happened; now married, has 2 dogs, bought a house in Mamaku, Rotorua, has 2 children; Vincent Van Hada he is nearly 4 and welcomed a daughter last year Tyla Mira-Joy Hada who recently turned 1.

Sarj is a fully qualified Chef, as well as a Chef Lecturer and has worked for Manukau Institute of Technology and currently, he is working for Toi-Ohomai Institute of Technology in Rotorua.

He works full time but still finds the time to Paint & Tattoo, he is influenced by his favorite artists such as Jackson Pollock, Van Gogh, Brett Whiteley, Arthur & David Boyd, Willem De Kooning, Francis Bacon, Picasso and many more, including artists from among his own family and friends. 

 

He also draws inspiration from the weather, books, movies, musicians, political movements and key times in history.

 

And, as of early 2018, he has now taken on tattooing which is another creative outlet for him.
